Metallica in Delhi - An Unfulfilled Dream..

I wish I had a rewind button in my life. I wish I had a magic wand. I wish I could have changed my past to make it the way I want. I crave to change everything that happened on 28th October, 2011. We waited for the Gods to perform; we kept waiting until the hell broke down. We stood there in awe, we were in utter shock. The announcement created an irreplaceable void in our hearts; we kept standing with heavy hearts, wet eyes. We couldn't catch the glimpse of our Gods, we felt neglected, rejected and hopeless. After a brief silence we regained our consciousness, we came back to reality that’s harsh, full of pests.

It’s the worst nightmare for every Metallica fans present there. Our hearts were bleeding, our feet stopped moving. The last minute statement shattered all our Metal dreams. We never heard the guitar strums, the divine sound; we missed the moment of pure bliss. We kept craving for the music that never came to us. Our passion for Metal wasn’t rewarded rather we became the cursed lot. Metallica cancelled their performance and we fans kept whining and abusing the organisers. We couldn’t sleep; we woke up with an unfulfilled dream.

28th October became the “Black Friday” that Metallica fans in Delhi won’t forget throughout their lives. We lost something that nothing can replace; we lost the moment that we thought to be like a dream. There was no performance, the organisers are arrested. We waited again the next day in hope to see them perform on 29th October, 2011. We almost broke down when Metallica declared about their inability to perform due to security reasons. We love our Gods, we hate the organisers who made us drop tears, spoiled our Friday and Saturday. We hate them because they permanently left a scar in our hearts. They never understood our passion, they played with our emotions. Now our heart aches when we hear our Gods. The wallpaper of my desktop curses me, my Metallica t-shirt feel abandoned. How can we heal this? How can we forget this incident? We may not be able to see them again; we may not be able to tell the next generation about their music. We came very near to the stage; we almost died after the no-show. The desire to see them is killing us every second; we are unable to forget that happened on 28th October, 2011. We are tired, we are completely devastated and only time can heal our wounds.

We love Metallica and we will keep showing love and respect no matter how cruelly our destiny treats us. We won’t stop head banging; we won’t let our Metal dreams die in oblivion…
